This feature helps you initiate connections with potential matches, creating opportunities to start conversations and build relationships. Purpose of the Express Interest Feature:

The Express Interest feature is a valuable tool for members looking to connect with others on the platform. It allows you to indicate your interest in someone’s profile without making an immediate direct approach. By using this feature, you can express your curiosity about a potential match, setting the stage for further interactions.

How to Use the Express Interest Feature:

Step 1: Viewing Active Members

• Active Members Defined: Active members are all the users currently registered on Ceylon Nikah. You can view these profiles as you browse the platform.
  
  
• Gender-Specific Viewing: To streamline your search, the platform filters profiles by gender. For example, if you’re a groom, you’ll only see bride profiles, and vice versa.

Step 2: Expressing Interest

• Express Interest Button: On each profile listing page and view profile page, you’ll find a heart-shaped button labeled “Express Interest.” This button is your gateway to showing interest in a profile.
  
  
• Click to Express Interest: By clicking this button, you add the selected member to your “My Interest” group. This action notifies the other member that you’re interested in them, initiating the connection process.

Step 3: Managing Your Interest

• Accessing My Interest Group: To review the members you’ve expressed interest in, go to the left menu on your dashboard and select “My Interest.” This will take you to a list of all the profiles you’ve shown interest in.
  
  
• Viewing Interested Members: In this group, you’ll see a list of members you’ve marked as interested. This list helps you keep track of your connections and follow up as needed.
  
  
• Status Column: Each member in your “My Interest” group will have a status column indicating whether the interest is pending. “Pending” means the other person hasn’t yet accepted your interest.

Step 4: Handling Interest Requests

• Interest Requests Button: At the top of the “My Interest” table, you’ll find a button to access “Interest Requests.” This section shows you who has expressed interest in your profile.
  
  
• Viewing Requests: Click this button to view the list of people who are interested in you. This allows you to manage incoming interest and decide whom you’d like to connect with.
  
  
• Accepting or Deleting Requests: Use the action column to either accept or delete these requests. Accepting a request will notify the other person that their interest has been reciprocated, allowing both of you to start a conversation.
  
  
• Notifications: You’ll receive notifications via SMS or email when someone expresses interest in you or when you accept an interest request. This keeps you informed of interactions and helps you stay engaged with potential matches.

Messaging Feature:

• Accessing Messaging: To start conversations, go to the left menu and select “Messages.” This section lets you manage your conversations with members who have accepted your interest or whom you have accepted.
  
  
• Members and Chats Columns: The messaging area has two main columns: “Members” and “Chats.” The “Members” column shows users who are in your interest network, while “Chats” displays your active conversations.
  
  
• Starting Conversations: Click on any member in the “Members” column to start a chat. From here, you can send messages or files, making it easy to communicate and build connections with potential matches.
